Product Description

Nongkhu Jasmine Rice
Organic Jasmine Rice  of Nongkhu is the product of Nongkhu village, in Amnat Charoen province, North-East of Thailand.
The IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements) has made the DNA test of the organic jasmine rice of Nongkhu and found it to be *9% jasmine **5 pure. The rice is cultivated once a year. The test for nutrient substances resulted that the organic jasmine rice of Nongkhu is rich with minerals, soft and sticky, and therefore quite fast to be digested.

The organic Nongkhu Jasmine rice has been carefully chosen from the farms of organic farmers at Nongkhu village and nearby in the province of Amnat Charoen, who **0% adopt the practices of organic farming. The whole production process is chemical-free, **0% biological. We are inspired and motivated by our determination to share the best with all, to conserve our World and to care for the environment.

Why the Nongkhu organic jasmine rice is so special?
The reason lies in the time of cultivation; the mix of soil, air, and water; and the appropriate exposure to sunlight blessed by the latitude and longitude of its location, as well as the phenomenon of Tawan Aom Kao (the solstice).
Plantation begins between the months of May and June and the harvest November and December.
In May the days are long, and by its sensitivity to sunlight, the young plants grow very well. Instead, at the harvest time, the day is short, and the wind is fresh and gentle. The rice becomes ripe, and the landscape is colored by gold, and air the typical fragrance of jasmine. Not only, the soil, being composed of molds and sand, also   makes the rice rich with minerals.
